San Diego Center for the Blind (San Diego)

Since 1972 The San Diego Center for the Blind has provided its nationally recognized vision rehabilitation services to legally blind and partially sighted adults. The purpose of our program is to increase the abilities of any adult with blindness or vision impairment to reach their own highest level of independence.

Transportation

Transportation via Bus via Bus Lines, Para Transit: San Diego Center for the Blind provides round-trip transportation to clients. Center buses are wheel chair accessible. Westbound MTS 1 and 15 drop off at the corner of El Cajon and 59th. Eastbound MTS 1 and 15 drop off on opposite side of the street

Parking Parking Lot Access: Parking for facility is located behind the building located at El Cajon Boulevard and Esther street with access off of Esther.

Qualifications

SDCB professional staff of Clinical Psychologists, Marriage and Family Therapists, Rehabilitation Counselors, Social Workers and Vision Rehabilitation Instructors has been providing vision rehabilitation services to adults in San Diego for over 35 years including working with DOR for over 20 years. Close to half of the staff are vision impaired.
