Society for the Blind (Sacramento)

Society for the Blind provides vocational rehabilitation services for blind and low vision individuals, including Vocational Assessment, Job Development, Orientation and Mobility, Rehabilitation Technology, Braille and Communication, Independent Living Skills, and special programs for Older Individuals who are Blind. We also sell adaptive tools for the visually impaired.

disability Assisitive Technologies: Video Magnifiers (CCTVs), Text to Speech (TTS), Braille labeling, Braille embosser, emergency white cane loans, scanner, text conversion, cassettes and tape players.

Parking Parking Lot Access: Parking for facility is free and available in the lot behind the building.

We have provided tools and training for independent living and job placement for the blind and low vision community for over 50 years. 97% of our clients would recommend training with us. 93% say this training has enhanced their abilities, and 89% report training has increased their sense of independence.
