The LightHouse promotes the independence, equality and self-reliance of people who are blind or visually impaired through rehabilitation training and relevant services, including access to employment, education, government, information, recreation, transportation and the environment. We have provided vision-rehabilitation and access-technology training services certified by DOR for over 20 years.

Qualifications

The LightHouse has been a leader of training, services and support throughout the Bay Area since 1902. LightHouse leadership and staff are professional and qualified in their respective fields. LightHouse training is current and relevant and 75% of our direct staff are peers, providing mentorship, self confidence and critical training.
