Since the 1970's, Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) in Los Angeles has been providing quality individualized services to DOR Consumers. Additionally, we seamlessly integrate Assistive Technology (AT) and ergonomic accommodations into our service delivery and provide full accessibility for persons who are blind and visually impaired. We are accredited by CARF.

disability Assisitive Technologies: JAWS, MAGic, and ZoomText software; stationary and portable CCTVs; Braille embosser; wide flat screen monitors; portable lighting; and ergonomic items, such as keyboards, trackballs/mice, chairs, adjustable tables, reading stands, foot rests, arm supports

Qualifications

Our focus on accessibility and accommodations means that our highly qualified staff have expertise utilizing AT and ergonomics, both in our Assessment Centers and explaining to employers the positive role they play. We have been able to assist individuals needing specific accommodations, find competitive employment and attain successful job retention.
